Rythu Bandhu, Kalyana Lakshmi & KCR Kits Effectively Implemented
Though some of chief minister’s pet scheme like Rythu Bandhu, Kalyana Lakshmi and KCR Kits have been effectively implemented, others like the double bedroom housing scheme and land for Dalits have either proved to be a non-starter or are still in the initial stages, according to experts.
The Kalyana Lakshmi scheme has been largely successful and around 60% farmers benefited from Rythu Bandhu. But tenant farmers and tribal farmers were left out. It is ineligible farmers, who hold large chunks of land, and real estate dealers that benefited, the political analyst told.
Land for Dalits has been a non-starter as only a couple of thousand acres have been distributed so far. Likewise, the KG to PG scheme has been wrongly named as education in residential schools is provided only from 5th to 12th class. The 2BHK scheme is a lofty one as it is not possible to provide a home to every homeless in the state.
Mission Bhagiratha and Mission Kaktiaya witnessed significant leakages and their cost-effectiveness is questionable. Many irrigation schemes are at the tender stage, while the Pavala Vaddi scheme has not been implemented, he added.
