Nagaur Master Plan 2031 has been created for Nagaur City. Nagaur is a city in the state of Rajasthan in India. It is the administrative headquarters of Nagaur District. The Nagaur city lies about midway between Jodhpur and Bikaner. The district is bounded by Bikaner District to the northwest, Churu District to the north, Sikar District to the northeast, Jaipur District to the east, Ajmer District to the southeast, Pali District to the south, and Jodhpur District to the southwest and west.
The district consists of 12 Main tehsils. These are Nagaur, Kheenvsar, Jayal, Merta City, Degana, Didwana, Ladnun, Parbatsar, Makrana, Kuchaman City, Nawa and Mundwa. The latitude of Nagaur is 27.207006 and the longitude is 73.742294. It is located between the 27° 12′ 25.2216” N and 73° 44′ 32.2584” E. It has an average elevation of 302 metres (990 feet). According to the 2011 census, Nagaur had a population of 3,309,234.
Vision of Nagaur Master Plan 2031
The objective of the Nagaur Master Plan 2031 is to create enabling spatial and land use planning framework to achieve the Vision of Nagaur Master Plan 2031 in order to promote, guide and rationalize. The future growth and development of the urban centers is defined by the Master Plan/Development Plans which are evolved for each settlement at individual level. Nagaur Master Plan 2031 has been considered as one of the most effective mechanism to promote planned growth of the urban centers. It lays down the road map, agenda and framework within which the District growth is envisioned. It provides a tool for the authorities to take decision with regard to current and future development related issues.
Nagaur Master Plan 2031 provides the framework for rationalizing the orderly movement of traffic and transportation within the District and defines the area for laying down network of various services. The plan is used for promoting integrated development of the urban centre by rationalizing its pattern of land use and their inter-relationship. It also defines the strategies and solutions for overcoming the existing problems of the urban centers and to overcome its infrastructural and service related inadequacies. In addition, it provides options for accommodating the future addition to population which is likely to come to the urban centre due to natural growth and migration. Master Plan acts as a tool for determining the infrastructure cost which would be required to make the District sustainable. The plans offer futuristic solutions by laying down agenda for its growth and development.
