As per state government notification dated 13/08/2012 additional 3 revenue villages from Boondi district were also added to Kota urban area limits. This took the total number of revenue villages for Kota Master Plan 2023 up to 97. Hence a new Kota Master Plan 2031 was proposed by when the estimated population would be around 21,00,000.
As a result, with Y2011 being the baseline, necessary physical, social and financial surveys were conducted on the basis of which with Y2031 as a target, Kota Master Plan 2031 (draft) has been developed. The current land use planning has been done in accordance with this plan. It is anticipated that this plan will give a new direction and speed to the development of the urban areas in Kota.
