Jharkhand CM To Announce Tribal People Upliftment Campaign On Hul Diwas
Jharkhand Chief Minister said on Saturday that on the occasion of Hul Diwas Tribal People Upliftment Campaign will be organised from June 30 to August 15, 2018, in the State. This campaign will be organised in all the villages whose population is more than 1,000 and it has 50 per cent tribal population. There are 3,264 villages in the state in which the total population is more than 1,000 and 50 per cent tribal.
This campaign will benefit a total of 12 lakh houses and 61 lakh population, including 45 lakh Scheduled Tribes.
In the State where already Gram Swaraj campaign is going on in 19 aspirational districts, Tribal People Upliftment Campaign will be conducted along with it and in the remaining 5 districts of the State (Jamtara, Dhanbad, Deoghar, Saraikela and Koderma) will also have Tribal People Uplift campaign.
Under this campaign, 100 per cent implementation of Ujjwala scheme, Ujala scheme, ODF, Prime Minister Housing scheme, Prime Minister Jan Dhan, Prime Minister’s life insurance scheme, Mission Rainbow and Saubhagya scheme will be done.
He said the State Government is committed to overall economic and social reform of women and especially the tribal community. Government has initiated many welfare schemes for development of tribal communities.
Through all the schemes, the State Government is trying to connect the tribal society with the mainstream. The CM said from 5 to 12 August 2018, Prime Minister Jan Dhan scheme, Prime Minister Jeevan Jyoti Bima scheme and the Prime Minister’s Security Insurance Scheme will be run in the entire State.
This programme will last for a week. In order to make this programme successful, Choupal will be organised in panchayats by the District Administration and District Level Bankers Committee.
The banker committee will provide information about the three schemes to the general public. Along with this, it will be ensured that by August 25, all the targeted villages will get the benefit of both the insurance schemes.
He said August 15, 2018, will be celebrated as Mission rainbow. Mission Rainbow Programme will be organised by Department of Health and Family Welfare.
Special Gram Sabha will be organised on Independence Day and complete information of Mission Rainbow will be given to ANM and Sahia.
He said this campaign will be run at the district, block level. Posters, wall writing, hoarding etc. will be done for publicity in district offices, block offices and panchayat secretariat. The Chief Minister asked to make a list of villages with more than 500 tribal populations and present it in the meeting. 100 per cent implementation of all the schemes in these areas will be done.
