DDA Aawasiya Yojana 2017, 27,000 Forms Sold
DDA Aawasiya Yojana 2017 of Delhi Development Authority, 27,000 forms has been sold till now from bank counters across Delhi. Apart from buying the forms offline, more than 1,20,000 users have visited the section of DDA’s website where online registration is done, people are showing interest since the launch of Scheme. Last date of registration is August 11.
DDA Aawasiya Yojana 2017 launched on June 30. The much awaited Housing Scheme has 12,000 plus flats- a majority of which were returned by the allottees of a 2014 Housing Scheme- is up for sale.
Cost of flats varies from Rs 7.5 Lakh to Rs 1.44 Crore depending on the type and location. Rs 7.5-13L for LIG/Janta; Rs14-30L for LIG-one bedroom; Rs 31-93L for MIG; Rs 53L-Rs 1.44 Crore for HIG.
DDA is yet to compile a figure on how many people have registered for the scheme and brought forms online. The present trend suggests that the number might be lower this time as in 2014 housing scheme, in which more than 17 lakh forms were purchased and 10 lakh people had registered themselves for the scheme.
This is also because only serious buyers are showing interest this time due to the forfeiture clause. A clause to ensure that only genuine buyers apply for flats. It has decided to levy a penalty ranging from 25% to 100% of the earnest amount. If an applicant withdraws before the draw of lots no penalty will be levied, but after 90 days of the draw 25% will be forfeited.
This time DDA wants only the serious buyers to step in unlike 2014 where several flats been rejected. It is just the start of the scheme and people generally show more interest after two weeks. Meanwhile, in order to make it easy for prospective buyers to visit DDA flats before applying, DDA will be uploading the contact person (engineer) names on the website.
