Budaun Master Plan 2011 has been created for Budaun District. Budaun is in the Bareilly Division and having 45 positions in the state as per area is concerned. It was an independent local kingdom before 11 Dec. 1949. Subsequently on July 1949 in the state of Budaun was merged into the republic of India and became a district. The Budaun district is a famous religious spot for Muslims. The pilgrims going to Ajmer- Shariff first get down at Budaun and offer namaz here then only they proceed to Ajmer-Shariff.
Budaun district is lying between 78.54 and 69.20 longitude east and 28.25 and 29.10 latitude north. The district is bounded on the north by Jyotiphulenagar, Muradabad, Rampur and Bareilly district and on the south by Kashiram nagar and Aligarh, on the east by Shahjahanpur and Farrukhabad District and on the west by Aligarh and Bulandshahar district. The height from sea level is 192 meter in North and 166.4 meter in South. It is well connected by railway and roadways. River Ganga flows through the district making the land very fertile. The Budaun district covers an area of 5168 square kilometers within six sub-Division and 18 Blocks.
Vision of Budaun Master Plan 2011
The objective of the Budaun Master Plan 2011 is to create enabling spatial and land use planning framework to achieve the Vision of Budaun Master Plan 2011 in order to promote, guide and rationalize. The future growth and development of the urban centers is defined by the Master Plan/Development Plans which are evolved for each settlement at individual level. Budaun Master Plan 2011 has been considered as one of the most effective mechanism to promote planned growth of the urban centers. It lays down the road map, agenda and framework within which the city growth is envisioned. It provides a tool for the authorities to take decision with regard to current and future development related issues.
Budaun Master Plan 2011 provides the framework for rationalizing the orderly movement of traffic and transportation within the city and defines the area for laying down network of various services. The plan is used for promoting integrated development of the urban centre by rationalizing its pattern of land use and their inter-relationship. It also defines the strategies and solutions for overcoming the existing problems of the urban centers and to overcome its infrastructural and service related inadequacies. In addition, it provides options for accommodating the future addition to population which is likely to come to the urban centre due to natural growth and migration. Master Plan acts as a tool for determining the infrastructure cost which would be required to make the city sustainable. The plans offer futuristic solutions by laying down agenda for its growth and development.
